Complaint against Tesco Bank
Good afternoon, I have been left by Tesco bank without any money on my account. What happened is - i deposited cheque at Tesco stores for £768.86 on 24th February, money appeared on my account 25th February(pending) cheque cleared on 10th March(i was available withdrawn it) This morning i went again to Tesco store deposit £500 as i need to make a rent payment. Came back home to make a payment and statement shows -£265.68...cheque amendment - out £768.86. Called Tesco bank customer service and they said they never received cheque that's why they take money out of my account, leaving me without my rent money. I have 5 kids i have to make a payments and buy food. When i asked i would like to speak with manager, she admitted cheque has been lost. On 10th of March cheque amount (£768.86 has been in and out couple of times) Just been in Tesco stores where i deposited cheque and it has been sent out to Tesco bank. They have reference nr. etc. looking at my statements they was confused as well why cheque has been in and out so many times. Tesco bank just saying there is nothing they can do, and i have request a copy of cheque from HMRC(tax refund cheque). This is their mistake, so i don't understand why their mistakes must affect me. Tesco bank don't care i am with no money at all left.
