Harveys Furniture: A catalogue of errors

Harveys Furniture is guilty of a catalogue of failures ranging from late deliveries, incorrect products arriving at customers' houses and terrible customer service, according to A Spokesman Said complainants. 

More than 130 of you got in touch to express your deep dissatisfaction with Harvey's - some even claim the company ruined Christmas.

It appears Harveys have taken the Liberal Democrat approach to their business: Promise a lot, and rarely deliver. Literally.

It only takes a quick glance online to see that Harvey's has let down so many of its customers, who've forked out their hard earned cash to pay for the company's furniture. 

BBC Watchdog even did a probe into the company!

Lydia got in touch with A Spokesman Said to say: "Look on Twitter and you will see why you should never consider Harvey’s for your furniture.

"We’re left without a sofa for Xmas because Harvey’s can’t keep their “guarantee” promise. Their customer service is shocking making the whole thing worse. Avoid at all costs."

Keith said: "We're probably lucky in that Harvey's have agreed to refund us for furniture ordered and scheduled for a "before Christmas delivery".

"It's Christmas Eve now and I doubt they're delivering today! As we ordered online, I've contacted them via email and they've agreed (so far) to refunding the money. Before that, it was impossible to get any details on delivery, where the furniture is - we tried calling, tweeting - everything!

"They always promised to call back or respond and never did. We're cancelling and going to Next."

And Helen added: "Harveys are a complete joke bought a suite from then in September wrong colour, after 2 days faulty leather, after many phone calls eventually ordered me a new one was told 6 to 8 weeks would get delivered."

The customer service has also been lambasted. People have complained that they've been made false promises by Harveys and even been fobbed off on numerous occasions.

A Spokesman Said has contacted Harveys for a response and is awaiting reply.
