[RESPONDED] Misled me they were an agency and I had potential, refused to return a refundable booking fee

Complaint against I-Model management

Dealt with a Lucie W she was very quick with her sales pitch. Told me I had potential with catalogues and TV and invited me down expenses paid photo shoot but I would require to pay a refundable booking deposit fee of £55 that I would get back on the day. Then booked me in for the following week. I did further research and then rang back with questions that she couldn't answer despite telling me in the fast phone call that they were an agency that would put me forward for H&M, Topshop and had mentioned high end models like Kate moss but could not tell me this when I probed further. I checked companies house and researched their address and none were kosher. I requested my refundable deposit back and Lucie said I would have to write an email request. I hung up and sent 3 to make sure. Then rang back to then chase the money going back in my account. She denied any emails despite s being me one with intructions fir the shoot and the address was the same. I've tried ringing her most of the day everyday and no surprise there is no answer!!! Goes to voicemail! Despite her previously saying she was working to 7pm on some days!

The deposit was taken to secure your space in a training and assessment day we organised at a studio in London. This is completely refundable as long as you attend or cancel by email within 42 hours. But unfortunately, we or the studio did not receive your cancellation notice.
