Re: [#117234] FCR5844068 They tell you exactly what you need to hear in order to get your money... a speedy appointment date when actually it's passed on to a third party, to saying that the so called specialist engineer will be fully equipped and in most cases is able to resolve most common problem... but in fact has no parts on board & no chance of fixing the problem. Once the engineer has been and and gone to order parts, they leave you with more false promises on when parts will arrive, but even worse, they ask you to disconnect the fridge freezer and leave you uninformed for over a week. When I was unable to reach the engineers and the family on the verge of madness without a fridge/freezer in this crazy warm weather, I gave up and ended up buying a brand new replacement, informed them that I would like to cancel as I have not heard from the engineer... instead of an apology and a refund, they informed me that items cannot be returned and that i've lost everything I paid, over £170 . They know that if they were honest about the timescale I would have bought a new one from the beginning without waiting in vain for 10 days, and also saved a great deal of money and stress. Their excuse for keeping all the money is that brand new items ordered and still sealed, never been dispatched to the customer cannot be returned... totally unbelievable,... adding insult to injury !! Total disgrace !
