Fridge freezer ordered from Very for delivery today the 22.1.17.. Email day before confirming time slot of 09.45 to 11.45. Text at 07.37 day of delivery saying same. Tracking showed it loaded on wagon and enroute. So with all this information I got old one removed first thing in the morning by a friend to the tip. Then I waited and waited, delivery slot passed. Rang XL at 12.30, dont worry it is coming i was told just a little late. No joy by 15.30 rang again, will be there within the next hour I was told, as he had checked with the drivers. No delivery by 18.00 so went online to check tracking, whixh told me that it had been a failed delivery as the customer wasnt in and a card was left!!!!!. Fuming doesnt come close, had to squeeze my stuff into neighbours fridges and feeezers. Rang Very they checked and said it wouls be here by 9pm as XL were sending it back out at 6pm from their warehouse. Nothing has arrived by 10pm. If a problem why all the lies and false messages and emails, lies on the phone again and again, if they had said there was a problem would have been a bit peeved but would have kept old FF for another day. This is rhe 3rd time in a year that XL have messed up a delivery, one a bed on 24 hr delivery which took 3 weeks and was delivered in 3 separate bits, the other delivery which was for nursery furniture was sent out and returned due to no one being in over 6 times then wrong item delivered. There is always someone in as I am disabled and spend all days at home. I will ask upon ordering in future who is delivering, if its XL I will not go on with the order. About time firms like this were either shut down or managed at a level where incompetence and lying are not tolerated. Cancelled order , neighbour with van offered to get me one at Currys in the morning. I hate being lied to dont companies realise that honesty is alwaya the best course of action.
