[LAPSED] BSM locks consumer out of £500 of driving lessons.

Complaint against BSM

We booked lessons before company went into liquidation. Company was taken over in 2011, trades under the same name. Agreement of take over required they honor commitments to clients of former company. We have requested value of driving lesson purchased for a learner (our son) who no longer lives in this country to be transferred to another learner who is currently receiving lessons from BSM. Value of lessons at £500. BSM claims they are unable to transfer this payment as our son for whom the lessons were booked is named as the account holder in their records. Is this legally challengeable as we were not informed of the liquidation or how to pursue the debt.
