Complaint against 247 Home Rescue

Awful company - steer clear or you will regret it. Been a customer 2 years no issues until 21st Feb this year when I called to check renewal costs, due to way I was spoken to I decided not to renew my policy which was due for renewal 16th March. It took 3 emails and posting a letter by recorded delivery for me to receive acknowledgement of my not wishing to renew / cancel my policy. I received an email telling me the last payment due was 1st Feb 2018 and nothing to pay after that. However today I received an email advising my account is in arrears so I owe a cancelation fee of £144 ?? Emailed them my evidence saying otherwise, including a screenshot of the payment of £17.70 they took on 1st March! Tried calling but as usual no one seems to be answering the phones. Shall be speaking to CAB on my lunch break - cheers 24/7
