Complaint against 247 Home Rescue
Two weeks ago my boiler broke down and after half a dozen calls to 247 Home Rescue, an Engineer finally came out to check it and we were told that a new part needs to be ordered. Since then it’s been a complete nightmare and after several days of persistent phone calls, emails and complaints, we are still waiting for an outcome. Today is Day 12 of no hot water or heating. A Manager from the company called on Friday and had assured me this shall be resolved today... it will be interesting to see how they compensate for the two weeks of inconvenience, mental stress, being misled by different staff every time I tried to chase this up, not receiving call backs or updates as promised and being told that the parts had been received last week to being told the parts will not be received until Monday 3rd September. I have had the most horrendous experience with this company in the last two weeks. Prior to this I had the same nightmare when trying to book a simple service for my boiler and again had to escalate the complaint as the Engineer played havoc with us. On this occasion. We were kindly advised by the Engineer to use our immersion heater for hot water. However at the same time he also informed us that our policy with 247 Home Rescue does NOT cover the Hot water cylinder or the immersion heater!!! Yet they failed to clarify this to me at the time of initiating the policy!!!! After the amazing service and experiences that I had with my previous Insurers, this in comparison is very unprofessional, inefficient, unreliable and untrustworthy. Let’s see what they manage to do for us today to resolve our two weeks of trauma!!!! Disgruntled customer.
