Complaint against 247 Home Rescue
I was a customer of this company for a reasonable amount of time with boiler cover , when I suddenly started to receive emails from them, telling me as a valued customer I am eligible to receive 2 months free roadside assistance cover, and all I needed to do was text back with the answer yes. There was no mention at all on the email about any payments or contract. A few months later I received another email, telling me again that I am eligible to receive 2 months free home emergency deluxe cover and all I need to do is text back with the answer yes, which I did, as I thought I have nothing to lose. A few months later as I was going through my statements I noticed 3 direct debit payments going out to this company, I immediately contacted them and was told that I had entered into contracts, as they said that they had sent me agreements by email the following day. I explained to them that I receive around 200 emails a day and I do not open or read every email. I cancelled these covers immediately and made a complaint of miss selling, as I believe that is what they have done to me, they now want £144 cancellations fees.
