Complaint against NHS

Dear Mr Mark Rahman, I am writing to you regarding the recent visit I had to the nurse at this GP practice. On the 20/08/2015 I had an appointment to see Ms Florence regarding an asthma attack prior to this on the 16/08/2015. 16/08/2015: I went to A&E because I was unable to breathe, I had difficulty walking & i was in extreme pain with my left rib cage. After various examinations and a nebuliser I was sent home with a inhaler & four day course of steroids & instruction to see my GP as a matter of urgency. I was unable to get an appointment for three weeks so I settled with seeing Ms Florence with the date above. I explained the above visit to the hospital & also explained that breathing was a lot better however I was still in extreme pain with my left rib. Ms Florence, did not examine this or any area which would indicate possible reasons, I was instructed to get on the scales, blood pressure was taken & I was told repeatedly that it had occurred due to my smoking habit. I was given a prescription for ventolin & clenil Modulite. Throughout the appointment Ms Florence did not look at me once even while talking at me. No smile or hello just repeatedly blaming my one off occurrence down to smoking. I have been going through a tough time of late following a long & heavy process with my former employees. I felt that Ms Florence was very unprofessional, dismissive of what other professionals had said & very very unsupportive to any of my needs. I am aware that statistics show that smoking does not help with asthma conditions, but do not expect any professional medical body to treat me the way Ms Florence did. I would like to stress that I do not want to see this nurse again & I would like feedback regarding this complaint. Should I not receive any feedback I will be taking the matter in hand to a higher level. Yours Sincerely Dawn Rittenberg
