[LAPSED] non delivery of mail again

Complaint against Royal Mail

I posted a business envelope in Newton Abbot.It contained two card in separate envelopes,one contained a £10 note and the other a £20 note. The address was written on the computer as my writing is a little shaky my no. and postcode was written at the top This money was needed urgently and as they have no bank account I couldn't send money via a bank. We have no local post office now so I can't send postal orders.This also happened last year when I posted £20 for my grandaughter's birthday and a week later for my great grandson.I am anelderly lady who can't get out very much and all of this money has gone missing from the main pillerbox in Newton Abbot. which has collections all day.I have complained several times as I can't afford to replace it and the postoffice says I shouldn.t send money.Apart from the money there are cards and large first class stamps

I'm very sorry to hear about these items of post which were apparently not delivered. While we never advise sending cash in the ordinary mail, the vast majority of items, properly addressed and with correct postage do arrive safely. I will be happy to investigate further, if can.
