£100's and 100's taken from my account by ITunes, leaving me in debt.

Complaint against Apple

Someone took my card and wracked up huge sums of money on iTunes, what amazes me is how irresponsible Itunes are in that they allow people to spend ridiculous amounts of money for music. I've been ripped off and anyone who pays that sort of money for music must not be well.

about this as it is scandalous that they can allow teenagers to wrack up this amount of money on games.

The total for 3 months was 2,000 is that not scandalous? how can this be right that companies allow young people to wrack up that sort of money on itunes games, why is there not a cap? I'm fuming and I shall be contacting watchdog if I don't get a resolution soon, a full refund. I finally spoke to itunes and they said they would help me and the manager would be sorting this out, so far I've not heard from the manager so that was 5 days ago!

another 500 had been wracked up on the bills until finally Itunes agreed to refund the whole amount over that 90 day period. I am pleased with this result but would like back the thousands of pounds they happily took from the past year including the last lot that was taken from my account without my permission. They said they cannot refund further than 90 days ago and will need to speak to my bank who refused to help me several months ago when I asked.

So I'm still out of pocket when you take the full year into account and the main person involved was so out of pocket every month from this addiction that he could not afford to buy clothes or shoes. I think it's scandalous that Barclay's bank said they could not help referring me to itunes and itunes referring me to Barclay's bank. I will go back to Barclay's bank and will keep you informed of what they are prepared to do.

in one month alone around £400 was taken from my account for iTunes how can they not realise this is unusual? I want a full refund of this money a.s.a.p. as I did not authorise this. Someone took my card and did this. I tried finding a free phone no. to call them and could not find one. I live on a very low budget and this put me in debt.

I have not yet heard back from Apple re the extensively high I tunes bills e.g. why would any sane person wrack up £400 in 1 month? I never personally downloaded this music or games, whatever it was. I believe it might have been my son who is unwell and at the moment suffering with depression and an addictive personality and there is no way he could afford to pay me back as he is in debt. I'm fuming with Apple over this that they have not bothered to contact me to help put this right
