Complaint against Madame Tussauds London
I pre- purchased tickets for Madame Tussauds and Shrek online for Oct 30th. It was a treat for my grandchildren. We were given a time slot of 11.15 when I booked. We arrived early only to be met by a huge queue. The time slot meant nothing the person in front of me was booked for 10.15. It took one and a half hours to get in only two people on the desk issuing tickets. What is the point of booking online only to have to wait to be issued with more tickets. On entry it was so hot and so packed at times it was unbearable. After leaving we needed to eat and so stopped to have a meal. We then made our way to the South Bank for the Shrek experience only to be told that we were too late to get entry. I explained that this was due to the wait at Madame Tussauds . However we were told to come back another day. I explained this was not possible . The children have school and we had other commitments also the cost of travelling to London was an issue for us. But this didn't make any difference we were turned away. I am absolutely disgusted with the treatment we received especially when it involves young children. No way would I recommend this experience to anyone. I have e-mailed guest experience but as yet not received a reply. I will be chasing this up as we have money due back for the Shrek experience which we couldn't get entry to.
