Complaint against BHS
Myself and two friends arrived at the B H S departmental store White Rose Shopping Centre, Leeds on Saturday 12th September around 2.45pm for refreshments. On our arrival at the café we found the choice of cakes on offer limited to say the least. My two friends had the only remaining Bakewell tarts and when I asked for a fruit scone I was informed there were only plain ones left. I then tried to order a hot chocolate only to be told there was none available. When I went to pay for this meagre fare with my BHS mastercard I was told the bill was £8.77. The card was refused even though the expiry date is 07/16. A supervisor was called to the till but she could not activate my card so she called a more senior member of staff. I asked if I would get the 10% discount and I was told that I would When the card still would not work and the queue of other customers was building up at the till I agreed to pay cash; then to add insult to injury I was firmly told I had to pay £9.75 as I could not have the discount as I was not paying with the card. I certainly feel I have ben really, badly treated and I shall never patronise B H S again or renew my credit card.
