Complaint against Home Energy Services
We had a 12 mth contract with this company and at the end of it we cancelled the direct debit because we were not paying over £300 for the next year. We then received a letter from them saying that they could not collect the money from the bank as we had cancelled the D.D. We then wrote to them explaining why and also how could they have gone into the account to get another payment even though the 12 month contract had ended. Yesterday we got a letter stating that the contract had ended and an invoice for what they stated we owed - over £30 because they had gone into the account and tried to collect the money. Why should we have to pay them anything, they should not have gone to try and get the money until we signed for another 12 month so it's not our fault. Please advise if there is anything I can do and how many people are they doing this to each year?
