Complaint against Currys PC World

I want to buy an iPad 4 Mini 64GB (£399) for my daughter for Christmas. My local store did not have stock so I rang their customer service department. I was advised that I could place an order at my local branch and they would get stock from the nearest branch with stock. I went to my local branch to place the order but was told that I had been misinformed and they could not get stock from another branch. I telephoned the customer service department who said I had been misinformed and if I wanted to buy the iPad mini I would have to go to the branch with stock which is over 30 miles away. I also spoke to the customer service manager who said she could not help. I consider this to be very poor customer service as they have no desire to do anything about the incorrect information that I was given.

Hi David, Thank you for your post. I'm sorry you where not given the full details regarding the iPad mini you wanted. Which colour was this? As these are in our black tag event as "when there gone there gone" its would be a case of purchasing a unit from the stores with stock. We have sold out of these on our warehouse. If you can send me your address I will see what stores have stock you can collect from. Thanks Georgia

I sent emails to the Head of Consumer PR and Head of Group Media Relations at Dixons Carphone as I was not getting a satisfactory resolution from Currys/PC World Customer Services. I received a reply to my email on Sunday and everything was resolved on the Monday.
