[RESOLVED] - PCWorld/Currys... customer services let down once again!

Complaint against Currys PC World

After much time, effort and money spent going backwards and forwards to the Chester store with a faulty laptop bought just last March, I finally got my money back. Through 'A Spokesman Said' I complained about the poor customer service. PCWorld/Currys offered to send me a token compensation of a meagre £20 in the post within 7 to 10 days. We are now in the 12th day and I still haven't received it. Poor!

There seems to be some misinformation passing between the PCWorld/Currys staff responding to my communication. Why wasn't it said earlier that the voucher had been sent out on the 25th? Please resend the voucher as promised.


I understand that my colleague Marcus has advised you need to allow 7 working days for the voucher to arrive which is tomorrow. If the voucher has not arrived by tomorrow, please do let us know and we will reissue the voucher for you. The voucher number that you have been given will become void if we have to resend the voucher out to you. Thanks Rich D

Dear Rich, Thank you for your civil response. I was told on the 24th that I would receive a voucher within 7 to 10 days... please read your communication from that date... that being 12 days ago. The voucher did not arrive today. I will therefore wait for the next one... and understand, as you have said, that the original number will become void. I look forward ending this issue on receipt of the voucher.

The £20 (token) compensation voucher from PCWorld/Currys arrived in the post today, as initially promised. I was only offered this token after I had complained to 'A Spokesman Said' about the poor customer services I had received with the faulty new laptop. The customer services concerning the £20 compensation hasn't been at all impressive either. In fact the wearisome thread conversation illustrates this well. Thank you again to 'A Spokesman Said'. EW.

I am closing 'happy' that by complaining about the poor customer service I received from PCWorld/Currys through A Spokesman Man I have been granted a token compensation amount of £20. I am closing 'unhappy' that if I had complained through this site I would never have been offered any compensation at all.I will not be giving PCWorld/Currys my custom in the future.
