express 48 took 5 days to deliver package

Complaint against Parcelforce Worldwide

I posted a parcel via parcel post express 48 at 10.50 on Thursday 08/10/15. excluding the weekend my parcel was not delivered until Tuesday afternoon. It was impossible to track. according to information it was at Newport depot until Monday. On Saturday, I checked with my local Post Office of its possible whereabouts. I was told it was collected Thursday afternoon. I explained to Parcel Force if I disregard the drop-off day Thursday, and disregard Saturday and Sunday, Friday and Monday are 48 hours and Tuesday becomes the 3rd day. My complaint is falling on deaf ears they are right and I am wrong. It cost £12.98 to post this parcel and for £2 more I could have had next day delivery with an independent courier.
