Please replace my Bush tablet, as I did not misuse or damage it.

Complaint against Archos

I had a fault with the screen as the images were showing in reverse. I contacted the bush helpline number which turned out to be Archos ltd., who said that I should return the Tablet to them and they emailed me a returns address. I sent the tablet on the 13/05/15 by the post office, 1st class and took reasonable measures to ensure the tablet was well protected, ie bubble wrap and was sent in a jiffy bag, which was padded. I did not get a reply and so I telephoned the helpline again on the 19/05/15 and was told that my tablet was not showing on their system. I waited until the 25/05/15 and I telephoned them again to be told that my tablet was still not on their system but they would email me when they received it. I received an email on the 26/05/15 at 13.51 hrs, gmt., saying that they had received the tablet. At 13.53 I received a second email informing me that after inspection of my device, it had been noted that it was out of warranty for the following reasons: -Physical damage showing improper treatment of the product (including accidental damage).-Diagnostic: Bad Display colour. They stated that the warranty was for repair/replacement. As my device was now out of warranty, these conditions no longer apply. They then offered to trade in my tablet for a new one at a discount of 25%. I feel that the service provided by this company was well short of good business practice as they have not told me what the physical damage was to my tablet and after reading numerous reviews on this company all of the complaints were of the same nature as my own.
