Complaint against lowcostholidays
I have just returned from my holiday in Turkey – and let’s say ‘I won’t be booking with Low Cost Holidays again and will be making sure no family or friends will be either’ The service I received in the resort was shocking. Before I even departed on my holiday, my accommodation had been changed – due to the hotel I originally booked being closed. I accepted this – as the hotel you moved me to was on par with the one I booked. All facilities matched and location was perfect. I arrived at the Begonville Hotel - when I arrived (at 945pm) I was again told I was being moved to yet another hotel – Begonville Beach Hotel (a sister hotel) !!!! This time the hotel I was being moved to was not only in another part of the resort – but didn’t have any of the requirements I wanted. There was no POOL…. I book my holidays on the basis there is a pool in the apartments/hotel – this is the biggest criteria for me when choosing accommodation. When discovering this, the hotel representative processed to laughing in my face – saying ‘why do you need a pool, when you have the beach’. This was not amusing – we lost a family member due to drowning in the sea on holiday – therefore would never swim in the sea and would never book a beach front hotel. They said we could use the Begonville Hotel pool each day (meaning a 15 minute walk there and back each day to use the pool – but we would have to pay for food/drinks – we were all inclusive) At this time of night, after travelling all day. We took the Begonville Beach Hotel they gave us (we didn’t have any other choice) and were told a rep would meet us in the morning. The rep meet us in the morning, and was the most un helpful person I have ever meet. He then preceded to try and SELL us trips/excursions. He then said I would need to take this up with Low Cost Holidays on my return home. Don’t get me wrong the hotel was lovely. But the rooms were tiny, no pool and a different part of the resort.. we were not happy at all. We visit this resort every year, and this was the first time using low cost holidays, as I’ve heard a lot of good things about you – NEVER AGAIN. This made our holiday very remembered – for all the wrong reasons. I would appreciated a reply ASAP on this matter- as I do intend to take this further.
