Mary's complaint against XinWin
Unauthorised removal of money from O2 account
Complaint against XinWin
I was shocked to learn today that XinWin have been taking money out of my account since 18/6/15, this amounts to around £400. I only noticed the text on 29/4/16. I had tried to text stop but it didn't work. Today I phone O2 to try and get the texts stopped, their operative told me how to do that and to call the company on the number on the text. When I phoned the XinWin line their operative was able to say that they sent me weekly texts to remind me and that I had signed up to 2 of these, at £4.50 per month. I don't read spam texts. When I checked there are texts from XinWin one per month not one per week. These texts are interspersed with competition questions which I didn't read again as I thought they were spam. Texts also come from 82288, these are now I realise from Win and all related to competitions but don't mention a charge. The only 2 messages I replied to were on the 18/6/15. None since that date. It is my reply to theses 2 texts that has now cost me £400. Both of those messages do not mention a weekly fee. They both state free entry. The texts from 82288 come weekly about a competition. Which I do not reply to. I want to request a refund of my money.
