Complaint against Homebase
I have very recently had a total knee replacement so am only able to walk very short distances. As a family we decided to shop at homebase crawley on bank holiday Monday, before deciding if I was able to go I called homebase and asked if they provided wheelchairs for customers to which the reply was 'yes, every homebase has wheelchairs for customer use '. Knowing this I left to go shopping with my family. Once in store I was told it was being repaired and that was the only one. No offer was made to supply one from the sainsburys store next door where they have manual and electric scooters. I left the store very upset and re phoned the number that had confirmed that there was a wheelchair available only to be told by someone else once I had explained what had happened that only some stores have them. So very, very angry. How are you able to do this to disabled people, I am a mum with a young family and I had to sit outside in the car on my own. Absolutely disgusted with homebase.
