Complaint against World Stores
We ordered bunkbeds for our two boys from Bedroom World (World Stores) early in September and got a call a few days later to confirm delivery would be on Friday 18 September. We waited in all day, no delivery, no phone call. I called them numerous times the following Monday - no answer. I tried using their 'contact us' form on the website, but it didn't work. So I sent them a Tweet. The standard reply came about sending them my order number and someone would contact me. I sent it to them, heard nothing. SO ON Tuesday 22 Sept, I called and did not hang up until they answered - it took 45 minutes of being on hold on a premium rate number. I spoke to James, he was very helpful, said he was new, said he'd look into it and get back to me. He called within the hour, bunk beds out of stock. Didn't know why no-one had called to let us know, but agreed the refund and said it would take 3 - 5 working days. Today would be 5 working days - no money has gone back into our account. So I Tweet them again. No response. So I call them again. This time it takes about half an hour to answer. Apparently James has quit (poor guy) so spoke to Jadine who was also very sympathetic. She says that my refund was only authorised yesterday (who knows why that took a week), so should be with us in another 3 - 5 working days. It was just so frustrating to have paid them over £600, with no delivery and no way of contacting them. And then to see so many others on Twitter having the same issue, it's just outrageous. My 4 year old keeps asking when his bunk beds are coming, but we can't order any more until they give us our money back. I hope this is of interest to you - companies should just not be allowed to get away with such poor service.
