Cancelled direct debit by S.W still awaiting response from them

Complaint against Southern Water

On the 19th August 2015 i had reason to call southern water, My query wasn't awnsered. I had then discovered i was £150.40 in credit and a cheque was refunded to me. On checking my online bank acount i found that no direct debit had been taken for September 2015 of £29.42. I had phoned to enquire why and to my horror the Direct Debit had been cancelled. I visited my bank to enquire who was at fault and was informed that someone at Southern Water had cancelled my Direct Debit on the 13th August 2015. I phoned Southern Water to enquire why this had happened and was told that a Mr Francis had closed the account and would pay the water as and when the bill came in, I would like to point out that my name is David Francis Kirk and all previous Direct Debits are in that name and always have been. I phoned back on the 17th September 2015 to ask some questions about this issue, However the young lady i spoke to that day didn't really give a damn. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told it was a 48hr call back service. It is now 16.00 hrs on the 24th September 2015 and i have STILL had no call back or contact from Southern Water. I had originally rang to enquire why i had recieved a credit cheque for £150.40 only to recieve a demand bill for £126.69 straight after, However no one could give me an awnser. Your call staff were very uncoperative and i suggest a lot more traing needs to be provided in Customer Care. Now i would like to know if my Direct Debit has been re-instated for £29.42. I still wish t talk to someone about this matter. I will give Southern water until the 2nd of October to respond to this letter and i want a Direct number to talk to someone.If i dont recieve and correspondance by the 2nd of October a copy of this letter will be sent to the Water Ombudsman and i will take this matter further. Please DONT ignore this letter. All the stress and anxiety this situation has caused me due to the ignorance of your staff, I feel a fee of £25.00 is a reasonable amount for compensation and any other further letters that need to be written will also be charged at £25.00 each time
