Complaint against A Shade Greener
I purchased an agreement with everlasting boilers in April 2014. The sales representative who visited my home assured me I would have trouble free heating. I feel miss lead by this company. It states in section 18 that all other parts of the central heating system including pipes and radiators are not covered. I accept that pipes and radiators are not covered, however it does not define what is a boiler part. A boiler will not work without a programmer, a thermostat and now I find that my diverted valve is not covered. Other companies cover these parts in order for the boiler to work. Indeed many of these parts are built in to a boiler. The company states they guarantee parts like the thermostat/ programmer/ and diverted valve for one year after they install them with the new boiler. However they did not provide me with these three components when they installed my boiler, they used my existing parts that are all over 11years old. I was also told the boiler would be serviced yearly it is not. I called today to book my service as requested by them. I thought they could do the service and look at the problem we are having with the heating not going off. They have diagnosed the problem as my diverted valve, without inspecting the boiler. They won't cover this. They will not give me a service until July which is 3 months late. They will not come out at all unless I pay up front, the cost of this includes travel time there and back from Barnsley. They have told me to get the boiler fixed myself. I have asked if I get my own engineer out and it is not the diverter valve and the problem is the boiler, will they pay for the repair. Their answer is no. I do not feel that they offer any kind of service. At the end of the 14 year contract l will of paid them £7258.00. To get out of the contract today I would have to pay them £2295. I am very unhappy.
