Awful from start to finish

Complaint against RIGHTIO

Unfortunately this is the second time I’ve had to deal with this awful organisation and I cannot express how much I regret ever letting them in my house. I first tasked them with installing a nest thermostat which they assured me over the phone they could do at a cheaper price than an official nest installer, quoting £79. The guy that came out had no idea what he was doing but insisted on trying. He installed the nest but it took him over an hour as there was a lot of trial and error but none the less he charged me £200 because of the time it took him. After talking to the customer service people they eventually were persuaded to give me a partial refund so I’d only paid £99 - for a shoddy install. A few months down the line and I have no hot water. If I call for central heating that works fine but if I call for hot water the central heating comes on. I called Rightio on Friday to ask them to come and fix it, they said they’d be here today (Thursday). I called at 3am today and was told I’d get a call back in half an hour to explain what was happening. At 520pm I get a call from them explaining they have no gas engineers in my area. I’m now seeking a final response from them so I can take this matter to the courts. This is the kind of company you see on daytime tv, warning you of awful traders in this field - if you need work doing I would strongly recommend that you go elsewhere.
