Complaint against RIGHTIO

I contacted Rightio Monday morning 30th January reporting a defective central heating boiler. Engineer was on site approximately 1.00 - 1.30pm The boiler was beyond repair due to its age and was "capped off" as it was potentially dangerous. I was happy with progress thus far. I asked the engineer to quote me for a new fitted boiler and received a random summary of the changes in operation that had taken place within his company, Rightio. I urged him to obtain a quote as quickly as possible and was informed that "they were out to lunch". I received very impressive paperwork from the engineer clarifying the work he had undertaken and I paid the £135.60 that was due. I was promised a quote within a couple of hours. The engineer left my property at 14.05. Two hours then elapsed with no contact from Rightio. I was referred by a neighbour to another central heating engineer who recognised the urgency in having no heating or hot water and he was at my front door within twenty minutes. He completed a very thorough inspection, provided an acceptable quote and arranged to commence installation at 8.00 am Thursday 2nd February. Started installation 8.00am Thursday and fully completed by 2.00 pm Friday 3rd February. Clean, professional workmanship. I now have a superb Worcester Bosch Combi Boiler. Eight days have elapsed since the Rightio engineer left my house and I have still heard nothing. I called Rightio today to advise them of my disgust and I was not impressed with the response from the person I spoke with. I have read the more recent reviews of Rightio and my conclusions are that they should seriously review their standard of operation.
