Complaint against Fast Response Plumbers

We contacted Fast Response Plumbers who popped up on Google for emergency boiler repair. The engineer came in and diagnosed the problem and stated the parts. He charged us £140 for 'the time he was at home'. He offered to buy the parts but explained we would have to pay him for the time taken to buy the parts. If we bought it, then that cost is saved. So we took his word, bought the parts and called back to ask him to come in for the repair. At this point, the operator said we would have to pay again for the call out charge as 'they have got busy since then'. Frustrated as we were, we questioned it at which point he declined to offer us the service after leaving us out of the pocket by £140. We have called for another engineer, have to foot his call out charge and we don't even know if the parts we have bought are the ones that need changing. The guy who picks the phone is extremely rude and claims there is no other manager or supervisor we could talk to. If you have to rip off people calling for emergency call outs, atleast tell them beforehand that even a return to repair will incur time charges !!!!! Had we known, we wouldn't have booked them in the first place! A complete rip off!!!!!

Agree Exorbitant charges for a small leak, no respect for our house, or self isolation. Left us with no heating and loose flooring. Didn’t even bother to turn off the water first, so leakage into kitchen via lighting. So no electric for an evening. Felt as though we were being talked to while they stretched out the job to 2.5 hrs
