Chris's complaint against St Helens Glass

Complaint against St Helens Glass

I entered into an agreement with the company on 4/07/2017 at a cost of £1250.00 At the time of purchase, it was indicated by a representative of the company, Daniel Donnelly, that the service/goods would include a method to pay off this loan by claiming money back from my shopping receipts, this is not the case. I therefore think I have been mis-sold a finance package by St. Helen’s Glass. In July this year I engaged St. Helen's Glass to fit UPVC facia boards and soffits, in the course of the sales pitch I told the salesman I didn't want finance, I would pay cash, but he showed me a special deal they had with a company called TLS where if I took out the finance deal I would receive a card to set up an account that would pay back 10% of my purchases at some supermarkets, the salesman worked out the figures based on my shopping bills that week and showed me that I could claim cashback that would be equivalent, more or less, to my monthly payments for the finance. I took out the finance deal, received my registration card and registered my credit card, but when I came to claim my cashback I received only 1% not 10%. I have since contacted the salesman's supervisor, Daniel Gray, on numerous occasions and he keeps telling me he will sort it out, the last time I spoke to him he said a new card had been posted, that was the 19th of September. I am clearly being given the run around. I wrote a letter to the company on the 6th of December stating my problem and they replied on 20th of December stating that the previous owners went into administration on the 31st of August 2017 so there was nothing they could do. Are they right with this dis-claimer ? Best regards Christopher Gregory
