My In laws brought a brand new Park home less than 10 years ago and it is suffering with damp rot

Complaint against BerkleyParks

We have taken a lot of photos and had a Carpentry Company look at the damp issue, it is way worse than we thought, to the extent we will have to employ a specialist firm to Survey and carry out the repairs. Berkelyparks did not offer or mention any type of warranty requirement when my In laws bought the home, although they have since found out that there is a Goldshield warranty available. Berkeleyparks at the time were in dispute with the warranty company so did not have any cover or in fact offer any alternative cover. We have spoken with the Home Manufacturers who have stated they sold the home to Berkeleyparks with a 2 year warranty, but Berkeleyparks are who my In laws bought from so it is them who we should chase. Berkeleyparks have stated we should chase the manufacturers, who incidentally berkeleyparks are shareholders of the Company. We are getting nowhere with either comapny, so we are having to sort out the damp ourselves, mainly because of the ill health of my Father In law.
