Your Steve Brooks Kitchens Reviews
A Burton: 1/5 Stars 13/11/2018 Disgraceful tactics of an unscrupulous conman mr Steve brooks and sandstone worktops Jaime Yes we too have had a very similar experience kitchen started July 18 still not finished very poor workmanship from his contexts and lots of days off work waiting for the worktops to be fitted and the finished see trading standards and seek for litigation he’s now starting up a new business too this person does not project manage he is a salesman nothing more take things up legally as we are doing Steve Brooks Kitchens has not yet responded. Trudie Hanson: 1/5 Stars 31/01/2019 Hoodwinked! Avoid! Have also been conned by Steve Brooks who's 10 year guarantee is worthless after winding up his company this year. (He uses the same mobile phone number for his "new" company, Steve Brooks Design incidentally - how can this be ethical or even possible?) The replacement of our ensuite has left us out of pocket and with all the stress and inconvenience grossly poor workmanship causes. He broke numerous appointments when we requested/ demanded that he came in person to see the problems his tradesmen had caused and having spoken to him only this year he yet again made verbal promises that he failed to meet. 2 years on we are ripping out the " new" ensuite and starting again. Best of a bad job! How this charletan can sleep at night astounds me! Steve Brooks Kitchens has not yet responded. READ MORE: Shopping Guides & Tips | How to Avoid Scams & Online Shopping Problems |

Chippy Hunt: 1/5 Stars 01/10/2019 Dishonesty and deceitful - do not fall for the sales talk Very disappointed with the work on my bathroom, the pump we were advised to have fitted is s health and safety risk and has been condemned. When we called the company to complain we were told we had to buy a new pump ourselves and pay for the fitting, almost £5000 we have lost with this company, please see photos of the terrible workmanship, we are absolutely horrified!! Steve Brooks Kitchens has not yet responded. Kirsty Bedford: 1/5 Stars 07/03/2017 Not Complete - Breach of Contract Dear Steve Brooks Kitchens Ltd, Reference: Breach of contract As it has not been possible to resolve this matter amicably, and it is apparent that court action may be necessary, I write in compliance with the Practice Direction on Pre-Action Conduct. I entered into an agreement with your company on 16/06/2016. At the time of purchase I was advised by your representative Steve Brooks/John Dare that the service/goods would include: 1 - The Bathroom fit date on 11/07/2016 Craig/Mark – This was postponed twice at 1 days notice! 2 - The Bathroom would be complete in 5-7 days – The work is still not complete. 3 - The Bathroom would consist of the following; • Shower Bath and Sink, - Sink enamel is damaged! • 2 draw unit, - Bottom draw of unit is faulty! • LED mirror 6, - I received a battery operated with no LED lights, only an effect! • W/C soft close, - Complete. • Chrome Rad, - At the time of agreement I was told I would receive a tall chrome Radiator! • Chrome valves, - Complete. • Ceiling White Cladding, - Part of ceiling missing! (This has been resolved elsewhere!) • Grey tiles floor to ceiling, - Complete • 4 LED lights with1 Fan light, - This was not well planned as you should have known due to a loft conversion they would not be enough room, I had to then have the ceiling lowered just to allow for spot lights, which cost me £100. I have been left with 3 spot lights and a fan! • 3 Shelves, - Complete • Silver Trim around the door frames to finish the tile work. – Not even started! • Knock out the cupboard space, as per the surveyor’s final plan. – Complete, however the cupboard bottom should have the same as the bathroom floor (White non slip flooring) the builder Craig used plastic tile flooring to which I agreed in the short term as I did not want to be left with ply wood! • Leave me with a beautiful complete bathroom. – Far from beautiful or complete! 4 - The base of the cupboard space would be material used which is same as bathroom floor. 5 - Organise and pay for my own skip (4yd) – This was unusual to me, however I felt intimidated and did not question it. 6 - Survey date 18/06/2016 – Complete however, issues surrounding a fan light to be fitted was not picked up! 7 - 40%dep, 40% start of works, 20% completion cash fitter, Surveyor £140 cash. – All paid! I paid Craig in good faith, yet you have deliberately sent him to new jobs in order to start them so you get another pay day. 8 – Invoice via email – Still not received! 9 – Produce a 5 year guarantee. – Still not received! From you I am claiming a full refund of the money paid, £4500. I have calculated this sum as you have breached the contract which was set. Listed below are the documents on which I intend to rely on in my claim against you: All correspondence including email, text and letter, Photos, Contract. In accordance with the Practice Direction on Pre-Action Conduct I would request that you provide me with copies of the following documents: • Final Invoice. I can confirm that I would be agreeable to mediation and would consider any other system of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in order to avoid the need for this matter to be resolved by the courts. I would invite you to put forward any proposals in this regard. In closing, I would draw your attention to paragraphs 15 and 16 of the Practice Direction which gives the courts the power to impose sanctions on the parties if they fail to comply with the direction including failing to respond to this letter before claim. I look forward to hearing from you within the next 7 days. Should I not receive a response to my letter within this time frame then I anticipate that court action will be commenced with no further reference to you. Yours faithfully, Kirsty Bedford Steve Brooks Kitchens has not yet responded. CLICK HERE: You could save up to £497 on your energy bills by switching your supplier| COMPARE ENERGY QUOTES NOW |
