Complaint against Purple Bricks Estate Agents
I handed over my 2 bedroom first floor flat to Purple Bricks last November to get me a tenant. They collected my keys from a local Estate Agency without a problem. They got me a tenant without much effort as the couple were flooded out and needed somewhere to live urgently. I provided all legal requirements and the tenants moved in and lived quite happily for 6 months. My troubles started four weeks later when the tenants were still in possession of the keys despite calling Purple Bricks over and over to collect them. When I discovered this I was horified as I was under the illusion that they had the keys as they told me they had two perspective tenants to view the place. Two weeks ago I instructed their local agent to return the keys to the Estate Agency they collected them from a year ago. I discovered this morning that the agency did not get the keys. A week ago, I sent off an email to Purple Bricks complaing about the way I have been treated. I sent this mail to 3 different department and no one has bothered to reply. I telephoned their office this morning to ask why this is happening and they diddn't seem too concerned at all. I had a phone call from the agent and he said he would post the keys off today; and the agent would get them tomorrow. If I do not get my keys back, plus my Gas certificate and Electricity certificate; what can I do?
