[LAPSED] 4 weeks, no worktops, no working sink - being ignored. Becoming very stressed.

Complaint against Wren Kitchens

Visited the Beckton store in September, fantastic sales pitch. Bought a fully fitted kitchen including quartz worktop. We were told that as we're buying quartz we would have to wait five days for the template to be taken. On the first date the templator didn't turn up. We were told this was because of a booking error. We then had to wait another week. On the second occasion the templator turned up three hours late citing a double booking error. He spent less than 10 minutes doing the work then left saying the worktop would be fitted in seven days. So far two weeks lost. On the day of the fitting, the guys came round and discovered that the templator had got the design completely wrong so of course they couldn't fit it. They left on Friday (three weeks lost) and we were told that someone would get back to us with a new date. Nobody contacted us. We chased Wren who buck passed to the quartz manufacturer even though our contract was with them and not the manufacturer. The manufacturer told us that we should expect to have a worktop by Christmas!!! How can we live without a worktop and sink for two months? !We've called for five days straight, we've sent emails, we've even tweeted. Nothing. The 'lovely' salesman is blanking us. I'm sat here (four weeks) with no worktop, no date for templating let alone fitting. I can't use the sink because the taps can't be fitted until the worktop's in place. I'm at a loss as to what to do. I even asked for a refund on the worktop so I could source it elsewhere and I've been ignored. I'm furious and am looking into legal avenues as well as telling everyone who will listen about my treatment. It's unbelievable that a company can operate in this way and remain in business for long. Expect to hear they've gone bust within the next couple of years.
