Complaint against Wren Kitchens
We bought a kitchen from Wren in September 2018 which was delivered on the 8 November 2018. My Kitchen fitter arrived the next day to fit the kitchen, but we had some broken parts which we had to order replacements and took another week for their delivery. Unfortunately they sent the wrong replacement and we were told it would take another week for their delivery. My kitchen filter also noticed that they had sent the wrong corner shelving unit which we also had to reorder. It took 30 days to finish fitting the Kitchen units due to the errors made with our order. Then we had to ask the specialist stone company JP Rotherham to come and do the template for the worktop, which they did. However my kitchen fitter noticed an error on their template which would have meant the new hob and extractor would have not been correctly aligned. We called JP Rotherham and arranged to have this amended and an agreed delivery date of the 18 of December 2018. They arrived on schedule but during the fitting the workers noted several errors with the stone, the first being the thickness of the breakfast bar was greater than the hob worktop which could only be corrected in the factory. The second was the cut out for the sink under mount which was too big and meant the sink had a lip instead of being flush. The workers called JP Rotherham to explain the issues who advised the worktops should be left and only dry fixed due to the Christmas period, as we needed our kitchen in a working condition. My plumber and electrician arrived later so that we would be able to cook and wash up. JP Rotherham also said they would return after Christmas to organise a new template due to the errors. In mid January workers arrived who said they were here to remove the hob and breakfast worktop. We informed them we thought a template was supposed to be done and they couldn’t take the hob worktop as we had an electric hob installed which would require disconnection. They had also forgotten about the error with the sink. They said on the voicemail they will come 25th if January to take the worktop and fit the temporary worktop but they did not come to the house , We are still waiting for this to be resolved and it appears neither Wren or JP Rotherham wish to take responsibility for sorting things out and I understand they want to take the worktop away and leave us again with no sink or hob for god knows how long. It has been a frustrating time for me and family, as I am a quadruple amputee. They promised (wren) it is going the be a job with no headache, as we have paid £12500 to them. I had to get a plumber and electrician to connect and disconnect and connect again. So no worktop no tiling no extractor.
