Complaint against Wren Kitchens
We ordered a kitchen earlier this year, we payed £10,000 for just the kitchen to be supplied and declined their fitters as they wanted nearly £3000 and a few local fitters were quoting £1200-£1500. Before they knew we were having our own fitters they wanted to come and do a prefit, when we advised we would have our kitchen fitters they refused to come out and check the measurements. This worried us as we were worried the units would not fit flush on the left hand side of the kitchen as it was going into an extension. When our kitchen fitter came to put the fridge freezer he could not cut the cabinet for the fridge freezer, so to allow everything to be in line all the other units would have to come forward 100mm, consequently the work tops and decor panels were not wide enough! So the units do not run flush!! The oven supplied was not the one ordered, we ordered one with a hide and slide door as the kitchen was designed with the oven next to the kitchen door and if anyone walks into the kitchen while the oven door is open they will crash into it. Firstly Wren said the oven ordered would have been on the final order we signed, when we checked there was no part number or model number on the order, so how were we supposed to know. Then because we had taken the oven out of the Packaging, they refused to replace it!! There were lots of other problems lights missing, hinges missing, breakfast bar didn't have enough support. Missing shelves in the larder. Our kitchen fitter was very experienced and worked around what he could. We wrote a letter of complaint on 22nd June and have still not heard anything back!!
