Complaint against Wren Kitchens

Thinking of having a new kitchen installed? Our advice is to stay away from Wren Kitchens if you want a professional installation. Having chosen Wren Kitchens, Aberdeen for our new kitchen, we were extrememely disappointed when it took them 6 months to complete a fairly straightforward layout. Although the units are well-made and look good in the showroom, once their 'team' (One Man and a Boy) of 'professional' installers was let loose on them and blitzed the installation in less than two days as opposed to the forecast four days, we were left with unfinished units, damaged panels, and unsatisfactory standards of installation. They also left all the packaging strewn across the garden, and threw important information like warranties and instructions out with it. If left to Wren, the kitchen would still be unfinished - we had to continually chase them in order to get any response to our complaints. Their showroom design team had botched the design, and the installers botched the installation. Their after-sales support was abysmal as they couldn't seem to grasp what was required to complete the job and kept sending out the wrong parts even after we went into the showroom to explain exactly what still needed to be done. We had to insist on a Field Installation Manager visiting in order to show what had been messed up, and what was still required to be completed, as the people in the showroom were not interested, and the Installation Support team simply didn't seem to understand what the problems were, and simply kept sending out the wrong parts. We finally had the kitchen completed six months after the first installation date, although there were still some minor issues - scratched/marked units resulting from the rushed installation, and poor alignment of unit fronts - which we gave up on getting fixed as it would have involved ripping out some of the units and refitting them. Moral of the story - Steer clear of Wren Kitchens if you want a professional installation!
