Appalling. Had I been able to give zero stars, I would have.

Complaint against The Able Group

I have never had such an appalling experience with a supposedly professional 24-hr company. Needed plumber out of hours - only available the following day during a 4-hr window. 10mns after end of window and no plumber and no call to explain what was going on, I call. He'll apparently be 40 mns longer. I demand a 30% discount on tariff for my wasted time and their absence of communication and CS rep offers 10%. I insist and get no further discount. I ask to speak to a manager and he confirms they will give no more than 10% discount. I express dissatisfaction but need the plumber so I accept to wait for him. 70mns later and no plumber and no call to explain what was going on, I call again. He'll be 20mns longer. I demand to speak to the manager and ask if it's acceptable and demand a further discount for my further wasted time and their repeated absence of communication. No joy. 30mns later and no plumber and no call to explain what was going on, I call yet again and demand to speak to manager immediately. I explain I can no longer wait for the plumber now and demand an appointment for the following day during, this time, a 2-hr window. Manager accepts and I demand email confirmation. Manager explains automatic email has already been sent out for first appointment but will personally send me a confirmation email of the appointment. No email arrives. Next day, 2hrs 30 mns after the end of the window, no plumber and no call to explain what was going on, I call yet again and yet again hear "I'll give him a call to see what's going on." I cancel the appointment and call my bank to ensure they decline any debit request on my card from this company. Such is their unprofessionalism, I wouldn't put it past them. And, you never know, plumber might, after all, turn up in the coming months...My plumbing problem wasn't causing any damage to my property. Had it been a serious problem, this company's incompetency and inability to provide a service they had committed to providing could have caused thousand of pounds damage to my property. Do you really want to chance it?
