Complaint against CR Smith
I was quoted over £700 to fix a number of issues with locks, guttering and a small window. This seemed high but I agreed. Most of the work was carried out on the agreed day but the lock and handle for the front door were the wrong size. The repairman absurdly suggested fitting the wrong lock although holes would be visible. I refused; I am not paying for shoddy work. The following day the company phoned with a date Thursday 7th September to complete the work. They did not arrive and when I phoned I was glibly told it was the following Thursday was the date. This was not what was agreed. I have several times emailed the company and have not had the courtesy of a reply. I am a 67 year old disabled pensioner; being left with no lock or handle on my front door is a danger. I am appalled by the lack of professionalism and lack of customer care shown.
