[LAPSED] Charged twice for a 12 Month Zbox Subsription

Complaint against Zavvi

I placed an order for a 1 month Zbox subscription for my daughter to see if she would like it - she was overjoyed when it arrived in November. So, as a Christmas present I decided to cancel the 1 month subscription and place an order for a 12 month subscription. I received email confirmation that the 1 month subscription had been cancelled so I then proceeded to place the order for the 12 month subscription the first being Decembers. I always check my bank account on the 1st of every month so when I checked my account in December I noticed I had been charged £19.99 by Zavvi that day (1st) which took me over my overdraft limit. I checked further back in my account and noticed that Zavvi had charged my account £221.88 twice for the 12 month subscription (9th & 16th November). I immediately contacted Zavvi to find out what was going on. Zavvi then informed me that they had cancelled the 12 month subscription instead of the 1 month subscription and the £19.99 was Decembers charge for the 1 month subscription. I still have not received confirmation of any refunds (as they insist they are still investigating) and I have not received any Zbox since the first one back in November. As the second charge for the 12 month subscription was unauthorized I have now instructed my bank to claim it back. If I do not receive a satisfactory response from Zavvi within 24 hrs I will also be instructing my Bank to claim back the £19.99 and the first £221.88 due to goods not received.
