[RESOLVED] - Items "in stock" are not in stock, then stole my money any way

Complaint against Zavvi

I made an order at the end of September for two items. One was a little figure, that showed up as "in stock" with 2-3 day delivery and 24 hour despatch. The other item was some shirts, 3 mystery designs, that would be released on October 3rd. For dispatch on that date, 2-3 days delivery. I needed these items by October 8. So it would be close, but the figure was a dead cert, and the shirts did make it in time. 5 days later, October the 3rd. My figure was still not dispatched. I had to complain. October 4th, it was dispatched... From America. I received this item 8 days later. A total of 2 weeks, for what should have been 3 days. Missed the birthday deadline of my friend No explanation, no change to their item on the webpage. just lied about having the stock. At this time, Oct 4th, I also noticed my shirts were not despatched. So I sent a query. "Sorry, were trying to source them". Why out a release date if you don't even have then sourced yet? I was promised that I would not be charged until dispatch. In the following 17 days, I have had emails every 3 days. Automatic ones that say "sorry we're late with your order, trying to source the item" these aren't specific, it's a general email that gets sent to any one whose item missed the release date. However yesterday morning they took the money from my bank. So surely it's been despatched? I contacted them to find out, immediately. 24 hours later I got my response "there's been a problem with the shirts. Don't know what it is. We'll send it to you when we find out" So they've stolen my money before despatch and still not let me know when I'll be getting it. This is just part of a string of awful service from the company. The worst part is, is that the management team are quite helpful. But it's nigh on impossible to speak to them, instead you have to tweet or instant message people in an office who take 24-72 hours to reply, and tell you nothing other than "sorry, we'll send it soon" I have requested to speak to management, whom I have spoken to before to get problems sorted after a month of nonsense, and it's just ignored. You are unable to phone the offices, there is no email other than the useless customer service. The company are extremely poorly organised, and I would like to finally receive my items that are now two weeks late for a birthday when I should have had them 3 days early. An apology would be nice too.
