Back in December I pre-ordered myself a copy of the new Star Wars film on steelbook. Along with this pre-order i was giving the discount of £9.99 if i also bought the Star Wars zbox. So I thought why not, £10 for a box of random Star Wars themed goodies sounded like a good deal! I went and purchased the the zbox. I already knew Zavvi did a subscription service for the zbox but even thought i have purchased a few over the last year not all appeal to myself so i've never signed up for the service. So while adding the Star Wars zbox to my order it came up with the options for the different subscriptions. 1 month, 3 months and 12 months. I presumed, seeing as these where the only 3 options the 1 months must be the one off service. Now today i received a parcel from Zavvi and inside was a new zbox. So i checked my account and i had been signed up to a monthly subscription. I never wanted this subscription, so now i have an unwanted item and £19.99 less in my account. It seems i am unable to cancel the subscription myself but have to get in touch with Zavvi to do so! This is absolutely shocking was for Zavvi to make money. Through out the ordering process of my Star Wars zbox, at no point was i notified that buying this product would enter me into a subscription or was i emailed to be informed this afterwards. Now to get a refund i must pay out of my own pocket to return an item i never wanted in the first place! I am unable to purchase any other zboxs that i want without having to subscribe to their service!
