Geek box conned me into a subscription

Complaint against My Geek Box

Do not buy from Geekbox unless you like money being taken out of your account without your knowledge, and receiving really poor customer service. I what I thought was a 3 month subscription plus a 'pop and a top' box, total £59.47 as an Easter present for my son. I was confused when 2 more pop and tops arrived so I deleted my payment details on their system- I assumed we had misunderstood the deal and I had not noticed at this point that I had been charged for them. I have just realised I have been charged 3 further payments of £14.99 and one payment of £52.47. There is no way on the website of cancelling subscription, and no email address or phone number. I contacted their customer service team privately through their online form and Facebook, but in spite of it being 2 days before the next boxes are dispatched they have refused to cancel the order and refund me. Will I be buying anyone a subscription for Christmas, birthdays or Easter again? Most definitely not. I feel extremely conned.

I have taken a look at your account and I can see you have been in touch with our Customer Service Team, who have advised your subscription can be cancelled once this months box has been dispatched. When placing the order it is advised this is an auto- renewal system on the website. I am sorry for any inconvenience caused. Many thanks,

Geekbox auto renewed my subscription without my knowledge and think this is ok.
