Complaint against Abakus Direct
As the others on here have said, when things go wrong they don't respond to emails, don't call back, or do what they say they will. I had a problem with the cushions as they were hard and flat and not at all how they looked on the website. I contacted them by email and they asked for pictures and they would have it sorted. None of my emails were responded to beyond that point and I sent about 6 in total. I called and was told they would try and source more cushions or organise a refund, but nothing happened. I called numerous times after that, each time just left me more angry than the last. During one phone call I spoke to the lady who'd promised to source the new cushions or organise a refund and asked her why she hadn't got back to me and her response was, "I don't remember that conversation, I talk to a lot of people" - and this was supposedly their head office!!! No apologies or anything. I was promised call backs and told to email to request a refund and finally they did something only when I emailed them a copy of the court papers I'd just filed. I'm still waiting for my refund and I have been trying to get this issue sorted out for nearly 2 months! Please don't buy from these guys, they are not part of any Ombudsman and it's not worth saving a couple of hundred pounds for the stress you'll have to go through if anything goes wrong. Aside from being a horrible company, the people working there are also horrible people.
