[LAPSED] Accident with my wheelchair. Coming out of the store my chair hit a raised flag stone.
Complaint against
Morrisons
I was coming out of Morrison's in my wheelchair when my front wheel hit a raised flag stone. My front wheel was buckled, and couldn't be moved. My partner went back into the store and brought out one of your wheelchairs. I got into that chair and the young person had to carry my chair back into the store. My name address and telephone number were taken. I was told that the store would get in touch with their insurance company and they would sort it out from there. This happened on the 8th January 2017. The store people kindly lent me a wheelchair which I am still using. Everywhere I go I have to say to people I didn't pinch it, I am borrowing it. On Monday 5th February, I went into a different store to do shopping and was so embarrassed when stopped by two members of staff who asked for the chair back. I explained what had happened and was asked to go back into the store so that it could be verified. I felt awful with so many people watching me, thinking I had stolen the wheelchair. I have written to Morrison's insurance company and so far had nothing from them, not even a letter to say they had received my letter. Using this wheelchair is causing more problems with my condition and also it is causing problems with my partners back too. How long will I have to wait for something to be done about this.
