exploding Indesit oven - TWICE
Complaint against
Indesit
I purchased an Indesit oven on the 13th February 2016 model FIM31KABK from curry’s. The oven worked fine until October 2017 when the front glass door smashed into pieces. Nobody was in the kitchen at the time so I can only assume the glass failed under the heat or the oven expanded too much and put a pressure stress point on the oven door. As this was just out of warranty I purchased a replacement Indesit door from Indesit spares and fitted the door on the 13th October 2017. This replacement door on the 13th January 2018 has again smashed with nobody in the kitchen and no explanation to the reasons. We have small children in the house and I fear this oven will now be a hazardous. Indesit have responed by stating that the oven is out of warrenty and therefore not their issue furthermore that when I said this would be taken further the response from the Indecit online member Ryan was "You are free to do anything you wish however your appliance has no warranty, therefore it will be at your cost". I've not experienced a door smashing let alone twice and the lack of help from Indecit is very poor and concerning. My sole aim was to either get the current oven replaced by Indesit for a equal model, or have the current oven reviewed and repaird by Indecit free of charge. I'm not trying to recover any other costs however I am now forced to pruchase an alternative oven at my own cost. Does anyone else have expereince on this model from Indesit?
