After only 9 month, and despite being always careful about what/how much we load it, our brand-new Hotpoint Washing-machine (WMYF862 – S/N 31217873 30841770000) has broken, ruining a number of high-quality shirts, and to add insult to injury the fault (2 of the 3 drum paddles breaking loose) is not covered by the first year producer guarantee (which doesn't cover any fittings apparently). Having raised the issue with Hotpoint, their only response was to suggest that this was due to coins or keys (something we never put in the drum) - no replacement or refund were offered. This is not the level of service we expect from Hotpoint, and it is extremely disappointing.
