Complaint against Ticketweb
Bought 2 tickets to see a gig in Islington London - on arrival was told I need photo id to get in even with tickets as Islington council are rolling out this policy across their clubs . Was told by club owners this policy came into force 2 weeks ago yet I purchased tickets 2 months ago from Ticketweb - When my partner showed her photo ID the club insisted it also has to show date of birth therefore she also could not be admitted (the id policy is not about age as we are both in our 50's) after insisting on seeing the manager they reluctantly let us in on the bases that we got tickets before policy came in to force - I have complained to ticketweb on their website, (4 days have passed no reply) yet they say they aim to reply within 72 hours - My complaint is that as a seller on behalf of these gigs Ticketweb should have been informed by the council policy and Ticketweb should highlight this new ruling to its customers who have purchased tickets -It seems if Islington council roll this out then you may well be refused entry if you have no Photo ID with D.O.B -- therefore can Ticketweb inform its customers in advance from here on in that it is advisable to carry passport or driving license on you otherwise there will be more people complaining about not seeing a show even though they have bought valid tickets from the ticket seller. This seems more about lack of communication from Ticketweb and the council.
