DO NOT USE YOUR DEBIT CARD AT LIDL

Complaint against Lidl

I used my debit card to make a purchase at my local Lidl store. I checked my bank account a few hours later and saw 2 charges of the same amount from Lidl. I called customer care immediately and was told that they will only submit one charge and the other will drop off. I checked my bank account 2 days later and saw BOTH charges went through. I called customer care back and was told that it will take 6 to 8 weeks for them to investigate and return my money. I liked the store but I feel this is bad business practices. It shouldn't take 2 months to return money stolen from a customer.
