[LAPSED] Paid4 guaranteed deliv, didnt arrive, no solution given only offered money back for service (£8!)

Complaint against Royal Mail

paid extra for GD, didn't arrive, called RM to see what they can do and turned out they couldn't do anything! I even offered to go and get it myself to ensure I got the package in time and I cant even do that! I then asked if they would deliver the item to a different address so that I could get the package on time - computer says no again! It was a dress for an awards doo and it was really important that I got it. I am so frustrated with this service and cant believe a company of magnitude such as RM cant get a simple dress to someone, or try other solutions. awful

Our delivery performance is normally very good and we're as disappointed as you are when things don't quite go to plan.
