Dear Argos, I write with regard to the way your dealing with the product recall on the faulty mamas and papas car seats. I purchased both types of the seat just under a year ago and have been using daily. To then be told they are not fit for purpose meaning that they have been endangering my children's lives is outrageous. I was asked to bring them in for a refund which I have done. However I'm now left out of pocket and with no car seats due to only being offered a refund of the lowest sale price they were sold for and then to not be offered any replacement as your out of stock is just not acceptable. I specifically wanted these car seats as they had good reviews be it safety and usage also that they were matching, i even waited a while to get them as stock was limited. I feel as a customer I have been treated unfairly as I had to travel to bring them back ,pay parking and I wasn't even given the option of swapping for a newer one of the same model. I plan to phone citizens advice in the morning and get some guidance on my consumer rights. But I write this in the hope that other people who have had the same problem will see their not alone and with the intention that you will do something about compensating and replacing the seats I purchased.
